Hi! I am the Executive Director of Old North Film Company. My love for storytelling began at the ripe age of 5 when I performed in my first theatre production! Growing up with a love of theatric storytelling translated into my love of on-screen storytelling in college when I pursued a BA in Digital Video Production and Theatre Studies. I filmed my first wedding for one of my friends during that time, and I knew immediately that I loved capturing and telling love stories! I should have guessed this is where my career would take me given my obsession with rom-coms and romance novels! 

Speaking of romance novels, I’m a big Outlander fan, and my husband I even got married at a castle in Scotland! In my free time, you can catch my husband and I obsessing over our mini goldendoodle, Archie, who is the main character in our house. We love exploring places we have not been, like restaurants, cafes, parks, towns and countries! My excessive number of hobbies include horse riding, reading, singing, tap dancing, snowboarding, playing Nintendo switch, quoting movies, and the art of being average at many things.

Hi! I’m Patrick, a filmmaker who has been working alongside Owner David Sheets for well over a decade. Storytelling has shaped my entire life, leading me on a journeys all over the country as I honed my craft and pursued my passion for filmmaking. After spending most of my life out west, I felt a pull to return to the Midwest—not just to be closer to family, but to be part of something meaningful in building this company. Bringing my experience and creativity back home has been an incredibly rewarding chapter, allowing me to contribute to a team that shares my vision for compelling, impactful storytelling.

Outside of filmmaking, my wonderful wife and our amazing children are at the center of my world. Whether we’re going on adventures, having movie nights, or just embracing the beautiful chaos of everyday life, they inspire me in everything I do. Family and storytelling go hand in hand—both are about capturing moments, creating memories, and finding meaning in the journey. I love working with couples and getting to know their unique stories, ensuring their wedding film reflects the emotions, joy, and special moments that make their day unforgettable.

Hi there! I’m the Post-Production Supervisor at Old North Film Company. In college I discovered a passion for video editing, finding joy in the creative process of transforming raw footage into compelling, emotional stories. What drew me to the wedding industry is the opportunity to work on deeply personal and emotional projects that capture one of the most significant moments of people’s lives. Having been with Old North for over five years, I have had the privilege to work with a wide range of creative, dedicated people. The combination of creative fulfillment and the chance to bring lasting memories to life continues to inspire me every day in this rewarding role.

In December of 2023 I married my amazing husband, Alex. My husband and I enjoy traveling, especially when we get the chance to see a Real Madrid game. We have an adorable, spoiled dog, Wyatt, who is truly the heart of our home. When I’m not spending time with family or pampering Wyatt, I love hiking and skiing, as well as playing video games. Since we recently purchased a home, I’ve developed a newfound passion for home improvement projects.

Hi! I’m the founder and owner of Old North. I studied filmmaking in college, and a year after graduating I was married to my awesome wife, Julia. I love marriage and I love film, so starting Old North just made sense. Since its inception in 2014, I’ve had a blast working with an amazing team and producing quality cinematic content that lives up to the importance of a wedding day. My faith in Jesus is super important to me, and because of that, I hold marriage in the highest esteem. My sincere hope for Old North is that, down the road, “in good times and in bad,” our films will provide a poignant reminder of the love that you have for one another.

Julia and I have four crazy kids and a dopey dog named Ralph. Fun fact, we bought my childhood home in 2020 and I get to watch my kids have fun in the same place that I enjoyed growing up! Outside of Old North, I love going on dates with Julia, wrestling with the kids, getting together with my extended family, serving in our church, writing novels and screenplays, producing short films, and spending time with life-long friends. I’m into Lord of the Rings, local restaurants, board games, movie rewards, disc golf, and keeping up with what’s latest in the tech world.
